This is a very nice chanter for young children, who need tighter finger spacing. The spacing makes the chanter pitch slightly higher, so it can't be played alongside a standard B flat practice chanter. The holds are comfortable to find, especially for the size."Tweens" and teens should be fine with a standard/regular length chanter, and older teens might be ready for a long chanter.
