The BandSpec ReedGuard is a brilliantly simple safeguard against chipped reeds. When removing or inserting the pipe chanter in the stock, it's so easy to hit the edge of your reed and crack or chip the blades.  The ReedGuard shields the reed from damage. The 2-piece design is easy to install and remove. At any time, you can unscrew the ReedGuard to change or adjust the chanter reed. And the rest of the time, the ReedGuard can be left on--when you're playing, when the chanter is out of the pipes, and even with a reed protector over it! With holes for airflow, the ReedGuard allows the reed to function normally.
