RedWood reeds get their color from Padouk wood. The carbon fiber bass tongue and glass fiber tenors produce a bass-forward sound with well balanced tenor drones. The Peter Henderson plastic band chanter was designed by Alastair Dunn of Field Marshal Montgomery, winners of multiple World Pipe Band Championships. The makers of the chanter indicate that it has been made "to generate a bright robust sound with maximum projection."
