Content | These products are cast at a pewter manufacturing facility in Glasgow from moulds modelled by one of Scotlands finest sculptors. All crests are based on "the Scottish Clan and Family Encyclopaedia" by Way and Squire, published by Harper Collins, and approved by the Council of Scottish Chiefs. The Range comprises over 200 clans with additional generic badges of the Scottish Thistle, Rampant Lion, piper, St Andrews, Masonic, Harp and Shamrock. Each badge is cast as a single piece (excepting the pin mounts), which allows for maximum strength and durability. and is made from 100% Pewter with no lead content. Each casting is individually fettled and hand polished. Hand antiquing is also applied to result in a product worthy to carry the "made in Scotland" mark. | Deluxe Tartan Bag Cover - Royal Stewart
This is a premium-quality tartan cover, made with authentic Royal Stewart tartan cloth and crafted with attention to detail. The stitching is all nicely finished, and there are extra features: a zippered bottom and a Velcro back. Made in the UK.
Features of the Deluxe Royal Stewart Bag Cover:
| Peter Henderson Polypenco Band Pipe Chanter
The Peter Henderson plastic band chanter was designed by Alastair Dunn of Field Marshal Montgomery, winners of multiple World Pipe Band Championships. The makers of the chanter indicate that it has been made "to generate a bright robust sound with maximum projection." In addition, "it produces a balance sound between all notes and is comfortable to play."
| MG Carbon White Mamba Drone Reeds
MG Carbon reeds are designed to deliver stability and tone and have been nicknamed White Mambas. The plastic bodies and carbon fiber tongues help play through moisture. The powerful sound of carbon fiber is softened in the tenors, with a specially shaped tongue. This results in better balance between bass and tenors. Designed and manufactured by Rory Grosart, in partnership with McCallum Bagpipes.
Features of MG White Carbon Drone Reeds:
| Canning Original Drone Reeds
Designed to re-create the sound of cane, Canning Drone Reeds generate rich harmonics. The full bass and resonant tenors complement each other magnificently. This superior quality of sound combined with the consistent quality of production make Canning reads an excellent choice.
Features of Canning Original Drone Reeds:
| Shepherd Polypenco "Orchestral" Pipe Chanter
The Shepherd Orchestral Pipe Chanter is pitched at 466 Hz, concert pitch Bb. This is the older traditional pitch of the bagpipe. The lower pitched chanter allows the bagpipe to be played with other instruments in the key of Bb. The orchestral chanter has been on the market since 2006. You may need drone reed extenders or low-pitch drone reeds to bring the drones in line with the chanter. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
