MG Carbon reeds are designed to deliver stability and tone and have been nicknamed White Mambas. The plastic bodies and carbon fiber tongues help play through moisture. The powerful sound of carbon fiber is softened in the tenors, with a specially shaped tongue. This results in better balance between bass and tenors. Shepherd chanters have an established history with award-winning bands and solo pipers.  This is the classic version of the Shepherd Blackwood pipe chanter.  Shepherd chanters are made in Scotland by RT Shepherd and Son.

This light-blowing practice reed is a great fit for most chanters and a customer favorite. This reed also pairs well with older wooden chanters and UK-made chanters.

The Ross bag has a suede-like, red exterior that offers good grip and, plus vibrance and harmonics. It's heavier than most synthetic bags, but lighter than hybrids. The bag requires no seasoning and is virtually maintenance free. Plus, it's more hygienic and has a longer lifespan than most hide bags. The zipper is easier to pull and requires only a dab of lubricant at the end. The zipper is angled for minimum contact with your arm.

Installation Tip:  Over-tightening the clamp can damage the chanter stock.

The Wallace Poly pipe chanter was developed by Craig Munro, who also plays with St. Laurence O'Toole and the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. This is the chanter included with Wallace bagpipes. Made in Scotland.
