Content | These products are cast at a pewter manufacturing facility in Glasgow from moulds modelled by one of Scotlands finest sculptors. All crests are based on "the Scottish Clan and Family Encyclopaedia" by Way and Squire, published by Harper Collins, and approved by the Council of Scottish Chiefs. The Range comprises over 200 clans with additional generic badges of the Scottish Thistle, Rampant Lion, piper, St Andrews, Masonic, Harp and Shamrock. Each badge is cast as a single piece (excepting the pin mounts), which allows for maximum strength and durability. and is made from 100% Pewter with no lead content. Each casting is individually fettled and hand polished. Hand antiquing is also applied to result in a product worthy to carry the "made in Scotland" mark. | Wallace Long Polypenco Practice Chanter
This is a great modern UK chanter, with wonderful tonal balance, comfortable feel, and good volume. The long chanter is recommended for teens and adult learners for better posture and projection. A logo on the chanter top proudly identifies this as a Wallace product. Made in Scotland.
Features of the Wallace Long Poly Practice Chanter:
| Shepherd African Blackwood Pipe Chanter
Shepherd chanters have an established history with award-winning bands and solo pipers. This is the classic version of the Shepherd Blackwood pipe chanter. Shepherd chanters are made in Scotland by RT Shepherd and Son. | MG Carbon White Mamba Drone Reeds
MG Carbon reeds are designed to deliver stability and tone and have been nicknamed White Mambas. The plastic bodies and carbon fiber tongues help play through moisture. The powerful sound of carbon fiber is softened in the tenors, with a specially shaped tongue. This results in better balance between bass and tenors. Designed and manufactured by Rory Grosart, in partnership with McCallum Bagpipes.
Features of MG White Carbon Drone Reeds:
| MG Drone Reeds - Mark II
MG Drone Reeds incorporate many of the best features available for synthetic reeds, like a stable carbon fiber bass tongue and natural tenor reed bodies. Composite reed bodies are great in Poly pipe, because they absorb the inevitable moisture. MG reeds were designed especially for use in McCallum pipes, but are compatible with many modern makes.
Features of Mark II MG Drone Reeds:
Designed and manufactured by Rory Grosart in partnership with McCallum Bagpipes
| Naill Polyenco Band Pipe Chanter
Naill's Poly Band Chanter is a version of Naill's Poly Chanter, redesigned specifically for pipe band use. The Poly chanter was rebalanced with expert input from Simon Fraser University Pipe Band's Terry and Jack Lee. The result is a louder chanter with a slightly higher pitch than the solo Poly version. Naill chanters are made in England by David Naill & Co.
