Shepherd chanters have an established history with award-winning bands and solo pipers.  This is the classic version of the Shepherd Blackwood pipe chanter.  Shepherd chanters are made in Scotland by RT Shepherd and Son.

SM90s are designed especially for Shepherd bagpipes. Blade and bridle position are pre-set for quick and simple installation. Instructions are provided on a convenient laminated card. Your reeds will come with white plastic spacers with a slit. The spacers prevent the reeds from telescoping in when you seat them in your drones, but they can also be removed.

Naill's Poly Band Chanter is a version of Naill's Poly Chanter, redesigned specifically for pipe band use. The Poly chanter was rebalanced with expert input from Simon Fraser University Pipe Band's Terry and Jack Lee. The result is a louder chanter with a slightly higher pitch than the solo Poly version. Naill chanters are made in England by David Naill & Co.
