The Thumb Stop can help improve Birls, Taorluaths, B strikes and grace notes. By keeping the thumb of your right hand directly behind the middle finger, you will train your thumb to stay in position. Once the thumb is trained to stay in place, the Thumb Stop can be removed. It can be used on both Polypenco practice and pipe chanters.
Caution: We recommend that the Thumb Stops be used only on Polypenco (plastic) pipe and practice chanters, as they could damage wood chanters. | Tone Protector for Bass Drone - Blue Many pipers appreciate the harmonics of a cane bass drone reed, but keeping the reed performance-ready can be challenging. This 2 oz. roll has a good amount of hemp. Yellow hemp is simply a must-have for pipers. Use it on pipes, pipe chanter reeds, practice chanter reeds, practice chanters. Yellow hemp can be used on all bagpipes joints. When using plain yellow hemp, be careful not add too much. The hemp swells when it absorbs moisture and can lock or split joints that are over-hemped.
