| Content | Basic Beginner Practice Chanter Package
This is a well-rounded beginner's package, with everything you need to start bagpipes. Compared with the Economy Package, this includes a long practice chanter, which is now broadly recommended for beginning teens and adults because it has the hole spacing and promotes the posture that will allow for the easiest transition to the pipes. In addition, it comes with an audio CD, so you can hear the exercises and tunes presented in the book. The tutor book provides a good basic foundation, and the first tune introduced is "Amazing Grace."

Gibson's regular length Poly practice chanter has been engineered to achieve great balance and pitch. The regular length Gibson chanter has the same hole spacing as the long Gibson chanter but a little less projection.

| Shepherd Polypenco "Orchestral" Pipe Chanter
The Shepherd Orchestral Pipe Chanter is pitched at 466 Hz, concert pitch Bb. This is the older traditional pitch of the bagpipe. The lower pitched chanter allows the bagpipe to be played with other instruments in the key of Bb. The orchestral chanter has been on the market since 2006. You may need drone reed extenders or low-pitch drone reeds to bring the drones in line with the chanter. | McCallum MPC5 Long Practice Chanter with Ferrule & Sole
