Kitchen Pipes with Practice Chanter & Case

 

Kitchen Pipes are designed as a practice tool, one more involved than the practice chanter, but short of a performance instrument. As a transtition instrument between the chanter and the pipes or smallpipes, or as an indoor practice instrument for any piper, Kitchen Pipes can be great fun and very helpful. They provide an opportunity to practice maintaining pressure in the bag and breathing, in addition to fingering. Even though Kitchen Pipes are not quite performance caliber, they are designed for good sound and stability. The pipes are Poly and the reeds are reliable Walsh practice chanter reeds, steady and easy to replace.  There are 2 drones, with a stopper to to plug the bass drone for simplified playing. Plus, the top blowstick portion and the chanter can be removed and combined to form a long Piper's Choice Poly practice chanter.
