Overview
 Because a well-maintained instrument is the foundation for good piping, we offer a range of bagpipe services, from seasoning to a complete overhaul. Not only do we have the expertise, experience, tools, and materials to perform all types of bagpipe maintenance, we genuinely enjoy taking care of the instruments we work on. Maybe you've always wanted to try a sheepskin bag, but were daunted by the tie-in, or maybe you'd like to re-hemp your pipes, but just don't have the time. In either case, we can lend a hand. We even offer a Free Bagpipe System Diagnostic Test for pipes in working order, but with some issue you can't quite put your finger on.
Scheduling Services
Our menu of services offers prices and detailed descriptions of our standard services. To arrange for services, first call or email us, and we'll send you a Service Authorization form. The Service Authorization is an essential part of the process, allowing us to anticipate your pipes, to confirm services/purchases/special requests with you, and to schedule time. The form should then be shipped along with your pipes or the stocks, depending on the service requested. We are not responsible for instruments shipped without prior authorization.
Shipping
Shipping is the responsibility of the customer both ways. We recommend that you ship with USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Be sure to use a trackable service, to insure the package appropriately, and to pack everything with care. The contents are your responsibilty until safely received here. We will ship with the same considerations when returning your instrument. The domestic (U.S.) return shipping charge for any service(s) is $15, but this also covers shipping on other products* you purchase at the same time; the normal value-based shipping charges are waived. (*Excluding bass drums and bass drum cases)
Turnaround Time
In most cases services can be completed within 7 days, and oftentimes they can be done sooner. The start of the week is busiest here, so arranging for mid-week arrival of your shipment may reduce the time you need to be without your pipes. As soon as the service has been completed, we will send your instrument back to you.
Other Services
We may be able to provide bagpipe maintenance services not specifically listed. Feel free to call or email about other options. We do not do wood repairs or similar refurbishment, but we can usually direct you toward such services.
Disclaimer
Services are only effective on instruments that are complete and structurally sound. You should let us know if you have a damaged instrument, a very old or fragile instrument, or a Middle Eastern instrument, and we can discuss the best course of action with you.
